magic at lunch

… and  *such*  stillness! 

as my blood sped up, so did the rest of me I suppose. 

I felt time spread out in front of me again, flat, wide and substantive – a thick, colourless sheen – the coffee in my cup angling its liquid weight neatly back and forth, back and forth… and I began to write once more.

instantly: relief like oxygen, like water, like forest canopy waving slowly, free.

this moment.
