I’ve recently begun to take my love of all things design, both digital and physical, seriously. And I’m so glad I did! It’s such a huge relief in some ways, just to realize that my critique of design (wherever and whenever it crops up in life) isn’t actually me just thinking I’m better than someone else — I actually just have something to offer too, and I need to give myself some space to learn it!
Recently I’ve begun designing some advertising flyers and posters for a couple of local companies and events, and that’s been really invigorating. I LOVE doing this! I’m thinking seriously about spreading my net a little more widely and offering my skills to others (speaking of which, if you’re in need of some advertising design, I’d love to hear from you. Give me a shout and I should get back to you within a day or so).
Apart from the digital side of things, I love designing rooms, decorative elements, houses, spaces, clothes, furniture, bathrooms, fireplaces, kitchens, and basically anything you walk by in a shop, only quirkified, better looking, or more practical. Love the natural, but more and more styles are impressing themselves upon me in one way and another and my brain whiles away its hours on a little rollercoaster of design imagining and editing.
Hopefully a little site or page will be dedicated to my paper designing soon with details etc. to make it easier for all involved.
